We were very thankful with the transmission problem diagnosis service we got during our recent visit to the Council Bluffs Certified Transmission store. We noticed a transmission problem in our Jeep last November (not shifting into higher gears). As the problem with the transmission seemed to progress, we noticed some hard shifting occurring, when going from park to neutral to drive gears. Believing we would have a major transmission problem that we could not afford, we thought we would be looking at a major repair bill. We parked the car in the garage for most of the winter (our 2nd vehicle). Finally, we took it to the Council Bluffs transmission shop, and were offered a free Certi-Care transmission diagnostic inspection. We thought the transmission diagnosis would tell us exactly what we already knew, but we received a very surprising phone call. The only thing wrong with our Jeep was a sensor had disconnected from the transmission. The sensor still worked fine and is used to tell the transmission when to shift after the speedometer reaches a certain speed. To fix the problem, the sensor was reattached. Great news, we felt. How much? No charge! But, we would like to do more by referring future transmission repairs to your stores in the Omaha and Council Bluff area. We believe the manager and staff were extremely honest in telling us what happened and taking care of such a small item. You can be assured that for any future transmission work, we will be back. And, we will also be referring our friends and others.
