A clutch pedal that feels unusually soft or spongy may indicate a problem in a hydraulic clutch system. Air in the system, a fluid leak, or a failing master or slave cylinder can prevent pedal pressure from operating the clutch correctly.

You may also notice difficulty selecting gears, a changing engagement point, or a pedal that does not return normally. Adding fluid alone will not correct an underlying leak.

Contact Certified Transmission on 2112 West Broadway in Council Bluffs for an inspection. If the clutch will not release reliably, avoid driving the vehicle until the problem is assessed.
